Step Up 2025-2026 Application Form

Thank you for your interest in the Step-Up Programme at Cardiff University. Please fill out the following application form. It may take you around 10-15 minutes.
This application form will help us decide if you are eligible to attend the Step-Up Programme. You can check eligibility criteria here. Once we have received your application, we will contact you directly to let you know whether or not you have been successful in gaining a place on the programme.

This application form will be used to ascertain eligibility for the step-up programme and to contact you should you be successful in gaining a place. We’ll also use information for evaluating our activities, monitoring their effectiveness and purposes, to see whether our participants go on to study in higher education. This data will also inform research which helps us ensure we are interacting with students from a broad range of students.

Data and information used for evaluation and reporting purposes will be anonymised should it be shared or published. Personal data from individuals who participate in Widening Participation activities will be retained for a minimum period of 5 years after the end of the project.

The Step Up programme offers a range of benefits, such as contextual offers and guaranteed interviews for eligible students. Therefore, your data will be retained and shared with relevant Cardiff University departments (e.g. academic schools, the admissions team) to ensure eligible applicants receive those benefits.
